HomeChoice® caregivers are chosen using an intensive selection process that includes background checks and professional references. Our caregivers are employees of HomeChoice® – not private subcontractors. They are screened, bonded, and insured. So you never have to worry about employee legal or tax issues. Intensive Caregiver Training
Our caregivers are specially trained to provide compassionate care, companionship, and comfort. In addition to 6 to 8 hours of initial instruction, each caregiver receives additional training tailored for every new client. All caregivers participate in quarterly continuing education classes on topics such as hospice care, Alzheimer’s, and Parkinson’s. HomeChoice is one of the only non-medical care agencies in the area that certifies their caregivers in hospice/palliative care.
At HomeChoice®, a small team of caregivers is assigned to each client. This approach provides both continuity of care and more flexibility for maintaining schedules. Having a variety of caregivers also provides more opportunities for social interaction, prevents dependencies, and fosters a healthy working relationship. You’ll never be left stranded when a caregiver goes on vacation and you won’t get bored with having the same caregiver every day.
We introduce and match you with caregivers based on the skills required and personality traits needed for a good relationship. Each of your HomeChoice® caregivers is given personalized instruction and training in your home.
Protecting Your Privacy
The HomeChoice® staff respects the dignity of our clients as well as their property and privacy. All of our staff signs agreements that protect the confidentiality of all medical, financial, and personal information related to your care.
We constantly monitor the status of our clients and adapt our care to meet their needs. To continually improve our service and provide you with the best care, our management team performs quality assurance visits in your home to address any concerns or desires you may have.
